Lasha Lekishvili our, only junior member of the Elite Team in this event, looked confident in the -73 kg weight. Facing all of the top players from the British trials, he won 4 fights by big scores to get to the final which he won with a maximum score to claim the gold medal.

The new rules came into effect for the first time at Junior level and to their credit the three Cadet boys competing did not use this as an excuse for failing to make any impact on these championships.  4.00am starts are also something to accept and get used to when travelling to the showcase events [...]

Surrey Closed Minimon at Redhill

The Camberley Judo Club mini warriors were out in force, the largest entry in a single competition that the club has seen for many years. The up and coming fighters certainly didn’t disappoint bagging an outstanding 20 medals, even more impressive considering for many it was their first ever competition!
